Over the Top, brother!
Even the artwork for this ‘87 Stallone classic is over the MF top. Muscles, beads of sweat, a clenched fist, a wife beater, a silver fuckin’ eagle, and a goddamn truck crashing into a car! My beard is getting another beard just by looking at this. Over the Top was one of the first movies I saw on satellite TV, on a specialized movie channel. It was either 1989 or 1990, Yugoslavia (Croatia), and I watched on Sky Movies or Filmnet.

Ken Taylor’sBeetlejuice” posters.  These are the first images that have been released in regards to Friday’s (Friday, March 15th) “Stout & Taylor” group show which will be held at Mondo in Austin, Texas.  Taylor will be showing new work alongside Tyler Stout.  (I want the one with red letters.)

Night of the Creeps meets Monster Squad, and it’s glorious.
Went looking for some Monster Squad artwork, as I’m about to finally watch it, came across this - the Alamao Drafthouse Cinema in Houston offers double bills such as this one. Dammit, I have got to move, to a place where I can go to the cinema and watch titles like Night of the Creeps, Fright Night, Monster Squad, Return of the Living Dead…

Slumber Party Massacre II (1987)
That is some seriously gnarly poster art. ‘Courtney, the younger sister of the “new girl across the street” in the first film is all grown up now, but suffers from nightmares about the Big Wet Incident.’

Biggest film surprise of 2012: John Dies at the End
Weird, smart, satirical, intense… Great science fiction/horror satire, and a great movie overall.

Bill Murray gets Scrooged!
Look at this sweet poster for Scrooged, this shit is trill! Good guy grows up and becomes a selfish yuppie asshole, then he gets bitten by the Christmas spirit and he… Well, you know how the 80s formula goes, and it goes awesomely. No, this isn’t Rushmore, it’s not the Life Aquatic, this is a goofy fucking comedy and I love it.
I apologize for being uncool.

For that video mixtape I’m (still) working on I’m putting in a bunch of the warnings at the beginning of horror movies, and I just remembered the great “We will give you a free coffin if you die of fright!” gag from The Screaming Skull.
